International Transactions
Wave Law® may be a small firm, but we have negotiated transactions involving clients and counter-parties all over the world. Our clients have ranged from large, multilateral international institutions and countries to small, venture capital-backed technology companies. Our members have spent substantial time overseas, and speak many foreign languages, including, French, Italian, Croatian, and Hindi. We pride ourselves in being culturally sensitive, and respectful of the customs and traditions of our clients as well as of the counter-parties across the table. When called upon, we have traveled to such countries as Brazil, Canada, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Spain, and St. Lucia to negotiate transactions for our clients.
We have also been fortunate to have represented some of our current clients for many years (at prior law firms) on long-term projects using technology tools as the bedrock to lift nations out of poverty or to empower entrepreneurs and small businesses in less developed countries to grow and prosper.
Because of our long-standing international work, we have developed strong relationships with local counsel whom we can call upon for expert local advice when needed. Conversely, we’re happy to work with “friends of the firm” at international law firms when they need our assistance with in-bound transactions here in the United States.
